Under the leadership of the Arapahoe Area Foundation, along with committee members from the VFW, and the American Legion and Auxiliary organizations, a beautiful brick wall was created to honor and recognize all veterans that had served in the United States Armed Forces.

On the front side of the expansive brick wall are the words "Freedom is not free, It comes with a price" which is highlighted by the raised images of an American Flag and a bald eagle.  On the back side of the monument, engraved on over 550 individual bricks,  are the names, date and war of every veteran honored from Arapahoe and the surrounding area.  The earliest veterans honored served in the Revolutionary, Mexican and Civil Wars.

Located in the heart of the downtown district of Arapahoeon U.S. Highway 283, construction on the Veterans Freedom Wall was completed in April of 2006 by Larson Brothers of Axtell, NE.

The Veterans Freedom Wall is free, open to the public year-round and is lighted for evening viewing as well.
