Girl Scouts of the USA is the world’s preeminent organization dedicated solely to girls—all girls—where, in an accepting and nurturing environment, girls build character and skills for success in the real world. In partnership with committed adult volunteers, girls develop qualities that will serve them all their lives, like leadership, strong values, social conscience, and conviction about their own potential and self-worth.
Founded in 1912 by Juliette Gordon Low, Girl Scouts' membership has grown from 18 members in Savannah, Georgia, to 3.7 million members throughout the United States, including U.S. territories, and in more than 90 countries through USA Girl Scouts Overseas.

Let the Journey Begin
Where do you want to go? What do you want to be?  Girl Scouts will help you answer these questions by providing you with a leadership experience that will take you on a voyage–from where and who you are at the beginning to someplace new.  Each Journey will be celebrated with recognitions and awards to help you see just how far you have come.

No matter what level you are in Girl Scouts, the experience will be an adventure that will help you make discoveries along the way.  Whether you belong to a troop or group, or decide to venture out on your own as a Girl Scout Juliette, there is something for every girl in Girl Scouting and an opportunity for you to build confidence and courage on every step of your path.
